Detailed Watercolors & Glicée Prints

As a young girl, art was an escape from a harsh world. I could lose myself in the details of a subject. Observing patterns, variations in color and light held a meditative quality. 

Today, that feeling is more powerful.

I explore the grasslands with a childlike wonderment, searching for my next painting. An old 4 wheel drive truck takes me down roads that are just ruts in the dust. Each blossom beckens. Every canyon calls for exploration. The worries of the world cease to exist. It is then that I feel completely free. 

I want people to value this seemingly barren ecosystem. I paint the grasslands so they can see it as I do. Each watercolor tells part of the story and the adventure continues.
